Overview Technical Specification

Workstation

• Pentium III 750MHz (Pentium IV 1.2GHz or higher recommended)
• Memory Minimum: 256Mb RAM
• Hard Drive: Minimum 2Gb of Disk Space (more if storing scanned documents locally)
• Min 800 x 600 256 colours (1024 x 768 screen resolution recommended)
• 10 or 100Mb Network Interface Card* (peer to peer networking is not recommended)
• Database backup is performed by central server. ZIP/Tape/CD-RW drive recommended for backup of local files.

Network Server

• Pentium III 750MHz (Pentium IV 1.2GHz or higher recommended) and 1Gb RAM min.
• Uninterruptible Power Supply recommended
• Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, 2003 Server, Small Business Server
• Minimum 10Gb Disk Space (please note that if the client plans to scan documents this should be larger)
• High capacity Tape drive for automated nightly backups
• We recommend CAT 5 cabling in order to maximise the performance of your network.
• 10 or 100Mb Network Interface Card*
• Opportunistic Locking disabled (use our OpLock utility to set required registry settings)
• Remote Access for support purposes
• Peer to Peer networking is not recommended
• Our optional OPSIS Weblink Online Case Information product requires a fast ADSL Broadband connection, see seperate Weblink spec sheet for full details.

*Please note we do not support systems with NICs that use the Realtek chipset.

Workstation

• Operating System: Windows 2000 Pro, XP Pro. We do not recommend Windows 98, XP Home or ME
• Recommend MS Office 2000, MS Office XP or MS Office 2003 (PMS can export reports to various formats including MS Word, Excel and Adobe PDF format)
• Internet Explorer 5.0 or later (for Internet access)

Network Server

• Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, 2000, 2003 or higher
• Peer to Peer networking is not recommended

Outlook Link

• There must be an Organisational Forms Library enabled and at least one user must have 'Owner' permissions to this folder
• At least one user must have permission to set up Public Folder in Outlook
